In this post, Leighton Andrews announces that despite many calls for him to stand for the Labour leadership, he will not be putting his name forward. A sceptic might say, that he is attempting to turn an embarrasment - ie. not having the necessary 6 fellow Labour AMs to nominate him - into some kind of triumph.
In reality it was not his choice not to stand, he couldn't find 6 AMs to support him, so this is just confirmation of his unpopularity. He will now attempt to hitch his wagon to the most likely winner in an attempt to secure promotion to a full cabinet post.

LA has amazing arrogance . He would never be good enough. He has done nothing in his current job -full of puff. No experience of economic development and Wales will suffer more if he became Lab leader.
I agree, his a political opportunist. He used to be a Lib Dem and a Gillingham football fan. Now he's Labour and a Cardiff City football fan. Talk about a turncoat.
