It is interesting to see so much comment on the future of the One Wales government.
Is it a case of Labour MPs, unhappy that One Wales gave too much away to Plaid from the very beginning, manufacturing problems over affordable housing legislation to push Labour in the Assembly into a more comfortable deal with Liberal Democrats? After all, that's what many of them would have preferred in the first place.
Why do I say it is manufactured? Because ultimately the previous publicly-stated positions of Labour MPs opposing these wide-ranging powers for Wales to alter the right to buy should mean they support this LCO.
"...Let us consider affordable homes...Restrictions on the right to buy in rural areas have helped, as has judicious use of planning powers by local authorities. We recognise that more needs to be done, but we are working in partnership with employers and public and private landlords. ... the right to buy led to a loss of 91,000 homes from the social rented sector in rural areas between 1985 and 1990. That would be okay if those homes were being replaced, but it is hardly a blinding flash of inspiration to accelerate the loss. We need to ensure that affordable housing is there not just for the short term, but for the long term."
Who said that? One Alun Michael MP

Inclined to agree that Plaid have been "stitched up". At least in the short term. In the long term Plaid may benefit if there's a public perception that London interference in the Devolution process is hampering progress.
It'll be more difficult for Labour to get on their high horse about the "Nationalist" bogey after accepting them as coalition partners and "allowing" them to govern - even if only for a year or two!
Welshfledging, it's a brilliant blog! I'm currently in the process of renewing my links, so I'll add you once I've put all the new links up.
