She does have a lot of work to do, after all, this is what Anthony Barnett in his introduction to the book recently published by the Institute of Welsh Affairs, Politics in 21st Century Wales said about Kirsty Williams' chapter:
"Williams' account of what has happened over the past year and how she wants to see the Lib Dems proceed is a muddle of personal statements and rhetorical cliches... "The inalienable stakes we have in each other must become a tool to drive forward our individual, community and national potential", she explains, only what does it mean apart from sounding worse than dentistry without an anaesthetic?"

What the hell is wrong with that party???
Kleenex Williams beating Randerson - are they nuts. One has been a minster and is actually not bad considering she's a Lib-Dem, and the other is totally useless and vacuous.
Why on earth would they therefore chose the latter. Bonkers, completely bonkers.
Jjon - Never try to make sense out of Lib-Dems. It's not possible.
I thought i'd seen it all.
I thought that following Kirsty's antics last year we might even have a chance of getting rid of her from brecon.
Not very popular in Mid Wales if you work to turn down the chance to change gov from Labour.
But no, the idiots even pick her to lead the party.
Give me strength.
Did Peter Black lend hos tie collection to his colleagues?
By the way, who is that bloke with a pink tie in the middle?
Wonderful news... for all the other parties. I'm so depressed
Serve Randerson and her campaign team right!
They fought a dirty, underhanded campaign from day one.
This is sweet justice for Kirsty. Revenge through the ballot box not through the black arts.
Well done Kirsty for re-balancing and re-aligning my party on the right track.
No more flirting with the Tories. Wales is NOT a Tory country - it never has been and it never will be.
Let's put the tactical mistakes of Randerson behind us.
Today you have proved that the party shared your analysis on the Rainbow Coalition issue - it was never going to work for Wales.
Well done Kirsty! Well done for standing up to the dirty tricks brigade who backed Jenny and sought to smear you.
P.S. Jenny lost the day Opik and Burnham signed up to her campaign -a huge tactical error if ever these was one! Serve her right!
I'm sorry but we need some balance here: they're both shit.
This is just desserts for Randerson and her band. Dirty tricks will never win in this party.
We may not have much - but we can't stoop to snide little videos and the like.
Our Assembly group will be much better off following this victory.
Interesting analysis from "Hannigan is a Muppet" - has this victory killed any possible Rainbow coalition for a generation? And has it made a Lib-Lab pact a possibility before 2011?
I will watch with interest. Would Labour want the Lib Dems. Kirsty a minister - of what ?
The party needs to get some gravitas first, she has so little credibility that is going to be her first hurdle.Second she needs to get some policies, not just old hat cliches -saving the whales woops that should be Wales and worls peace just doesnt cut it
"Dirty tricks will never win in this party."
Not true - Fib Dems been winning local elections by lying and smearing candidates for years.
Agree with Valleys mam.
Kirsty- minister of what?
How about Minister of old cliches and vacuous nonsense.
That portfolio would of course include special responsibility for World peace.
First female 'Welsh' pary leader and they pick someone crap.
