on Monday, 8 December 2008

Can someone explain to me why Paul Murphy MP will be awarded the Politician of the Year award at the ITV Wales Yearbook Awards tomorrow?

If that's true, its totally ridiculous. WTF has he done?

It was the Windfall Don/Penarth Huw block vote. With their chums in the media taking care of Huw's campaign, it was an easy one for Papal Paul.
The anti-Welsh lobby win the Welsh politician of the year award. Terrific. Only in Wales.

With these sorts of decisions - no wonder ITV Wales' political coverage is being shafted.

This is the rumour I've heard, can anyone think what they would say to justify the decision? The successful passage of LCOs...?

I hear John Redwood's going to get next year's. Backdated of course. Courtesy of True Wales Block votes, orchestrated by Dave Rees and Dave Davies, people who'd prefer Redwood and Tebbitt to run the show from Croydon constituencies than a Welsh-elected government of any party.
You heard it here first!

Yes, Edwina Hart would have been a better choice. Why not Hywel Francis for his difficult job of chairing the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, or, Huw Irranca Davies for his successful promotion or Don Touhig for his anti-Plaid campaigning work?

Why not Paul Murphy? He has done a sterling job since taking over from the oversized ego that is the crook Peter Hain.

He has started and continued communication between Cardiff and London, and NOONE in Welsh Politics has taken this initiative.

You need someone with a level head surrounding devolution. We CANNOT continue making stupid legislation which will NOT work. for example subsidising tuition fees, and free prescriptions. We have a totally screwed NHS, so we take more money out of it? Whos decision was this?
