Word reaches Ramblings from a trusted Plaid source that the True Wales pressure group were out in force campaigning in Newport this week. We're at a loss to understand how law-making powers for the Assembly will lead to independence- or how independence could ever happen without the support of a majority of people in Wales, but more interesting than their leaflets was their homemade banner- 'True Wales' written in marker pen on the back of a Conservative Party placard.
Guess which two British parties are present in the 'True Wales' Group? It's an unholy alliance of "Monmouth is English" types and Touhigite Labour Councillors. Truly bizarre.
Will a credible 'No' campaign even take place? It is doubtful.

When you say 'out in force', how many do you mean?
And where are the Yes campaigners?
Underestimate these liars and cynics at your peril.
I'll have to ask someone who was there, but Tomorrow's Wales is delivering a kind of yes campaign, not fully but enough to be getting on with until the referendum is called and the national campaign becomes needed.
